If any of you have been wondering what I have been up to, you are about to find out. I have been working on a book project this past month or so. It’s a trade paperback guidebook called No Building Codes. It will help the average owner-builder find the last remaining places in the United States where there are inconsequential to no building codes.

I felt compelled to create this book because there was a major void to be filled. No matter how hard I looked online, there was no resource book of any sort available to me on the subject of where to find states with no building codes. None! I thought to myself: Looks like I got a book to write…

I am not new to writing, having written several other off-topic books, but this one had me pretty enthused about crafting it together. Easy to write? Heck no! It was a daunting task because I had to cover each and every state in the U.S. I had to gather sources together to determine which codes were current, outdated, or even if a code existed.

My writing endeavor was filled with long stretches of research and composition which at times lasted for 12+ hours straight; there were days where I didn’t hit the sack till after 7 A.M. A good night’s sleep? I wish. It was crazy being in that zone where time is of no essence.

But hey… the book is finally done and ready for publishing in trade paperback. I have a publishing date in mind and am still researching which printing method is the most economically feasible. No Building Codes is expected to retail around $29 and will eventually be available at online outlets like Amazon and Barnes & Noble.
